PRINCIPLES OF CONDUCT

1. EFFORT

Effort means hard work. In the Dojo and outside. Members must put forward their utmost effort in every endeavor.

2. ETIQUETTE

Members must show politeness and respect to all people. Good manners inside and outside the Dojo are expected from all members of the Dojo. Members must treat one another, especially senior students, with respect.

3. SINCERITY

Honesty and truthfulness are the chief characteristics of every Karate-ka. One tells the truth even when it will hurt, because one knows that truth and honesty are more important than one's well being.

4. CHARACTER

Personal strength is a prerequisite to Karate development. If it is not present at the onset of training, it will developed with continued effort and training. Martial artist do what they know is right no matter who speaks against them or no matter what hardship they may suffer.

5. SELF-CONTROL

The Karate practitioner controls their emotions and behavior. They accept their bad qualities and learn to subdue them. They do not use their techniques to bully people or show off. They use their art only when their life is in danger and never in anger.
